To the inevitability of nothing
So... Here's something that I think should warrant some research. Boredom. Is boredom simply a human concept or is there some sort of boredom instinct. Its hard to tell but from what I can tell other animals don't get bored. They simply do something that makes them happy, or they go to sleep. Dogs... they sleep or run around or go find someone to love them. Cats are similar but they don't play nearly as much and go around doing their little hunting thing. Dolphins, regarded as one of the most intelligent species on this planet... they don't get bored. I really think that because we have separated ourselves from our instincts with the false sense of superiority our brain affords us that we simply no longer allow ourselves to be content with things.
We stop feeling like there are so many things to do because of social constructs, lack of monetary reinforcement or any number of other things. Now, of course, it is entirely possible that I am completely wrong and other species get "bored" but it doesn't seem to be so. So the question would be, what did we do to get us away from the ability to be content with whatever we were doing? I don't know, and I cant seem to figure it out. It sucks.
So yeah, now that I have broken the boredom for a few moments with this meandering, I shall sign off until next time.
