So i was thinking...

Alright, so does anyone else ever get ridiculously angry at how many insanely stupid people are in this country? I mean seriously where did all the intelligence go? For example, i work at a local 7-11 and this lady comes in today asking why her credit card isnt working at the gasoline pumps. I check the card and make sure it isnt damaged and then run it through our machine and then i ask what the pump actually said and she told me this. "I ran it through and the screen said one moment please, and so i waited and 10 seconds later it was still saying One moment please so i figured it must be broken." Now i dont want to be overly mean, but what the hell? It boggles my mind that someone would not actually understand that one moment please is actually asking for a moment of the patrons time. Which can mean either a few seconds or a couple minutes, but because it didnt respond immediately as, i admit, it usually does the lady thought it was broken.

It just really makes me wonder if people were always that way or if this is a new development. Now if she had been waiting for say 5 minutes and then came in i would have understood but from her own mouth she said 10 seconds. Now i have to say that the problem may have just been patience, or a lake thereof, but i really think it was this lady's miniscule brain that failed to comprehend the situation. BAH! I really think that we should start breeding programs so that stupid people are slowly phased out of the world... it would make conversations much much easier to conduct. Anyway, i really dont think there is much i have to say about this anymore.
